Pupils in their last year of primary school have to decide where to continue studying. Secondary schools offer a career day on which we try to motivate them to choose that particular school. Do not know which school to choose? Come to us and I promise you will not regret it.
Our school is located in Jesenice, a town with good public transport. I can use both a bus and a train since the bus station is right in front of the school and the train station is five minutes away.
The school is not so big and does not have so many students, which is beneficial since every student gets more attention. There are also sports classes for students who train sport disciplines and are away for longer periods of time.
School offers a lot of extra class activities, among which are singing in a choir, volleyball and art class. I am singing in a choir, which helped me improve my singing skills and I am also a member of the volleyball team which I enjoy very much.
The school has a well-stocked library which is also a great place to study. I can borrow all the books that I need. We have free access to a computer room. Some of my schoolmates use them to do projects or powerpoints. School is proud of its well-equipped chemistry lab. When I am doing chemistry experiments I can use chemicals and microscope to help me with my assignment.
My school offers a lot of school trips that are worth spending money on. Last year we went to Istanbul and it was an amazing experience.
Social engagement is an important part of everyday school life. Each year we organize several social events, peaking out the Christmas concert, Charity bazaar and Drama festival.
To sum up, in my opinion, Grammar School Jesenice is excellent for further studying since it covers many aspects of students’ expectations.
I hope to see you in our classrooms next year.
