Can you imagine having to compensate for three months of school work in the first month of the next school year? That is how I and all of my generation are feeling at this moment. Students would rather start without so much of pressure being put on them at the very start of the next school year.

As a student, I am surprised that the ministry decided to close down all schools. Since then students do not learn in schools anymore, instead we have our learning material brought to us by e-mail or by attending online classes.

As well as in learning, there are changes in exams and grading in general. Most of the exams got postponed to the following year so we will get grades of this year in the next one. That means we will have to repeat and re-study this year’s learning material to write an exam on it, which in my opinion, is just a bunch of extra and unnecessary work.

Furthermore, the learning material of the next year will have to be delayed for a month or two, which leads to teachers rushing with lessons to compensate. I see that as a huge problem, because students will have a hard time following the teacher’s explanation.

Will the quarantine heavily impact grades/marks of the students? Me and my classmates think that this is true for both this and the following year, and that we will have hard times catching up with the lost lessons and time.
