Introduction
Aa student of Jesenice Gymnasium, I am writing this report to present reader, what has changed at our school. It includes advantages, disadvantages and consequences of distance learning.
All that has changed at Gimjes
The school has been temporarily closed down therefore students and teachers are working from home. Instead of lessons in school, we have distance learning to avoid any inbetween contacts. As of right now, only 4th year students are allowed to go to school due to matura exams.
Distance learning
Distance learning is much less effective than learning in school, grading is more difficult and matura exams are deffered. On the other hand, learning from home for students and teaching from home for teachers is more relaxed. Students get their learning material by email or by attending online classes.
Comments and suggestions
In my opinion, closing down all schools as a measure to stop coronavirus was urgent. I hope that this pandemic ends soon, so we can get back on track and live normal live again.
